I paint.
The hearts find me.
Since 2018, I’ve spotted hearts in clouds, photographs, even my brain MRI. Hundreds of people send me hearts they find and say, “I thought of you.” It feels like they leave little messages—and now I find them in my paintings, too.

My story
I built businesses. Then I had to rebuild myself.
For most of my working life, I was an entrepreneur. I built successful businesses from the ground up, led growing teams, and turned ideas into work that served real people. Later, as a professional matchmaker and dating coach, I helped others navigate relationships and new beginnings.
Then a brain tumor—and surgery on the right frontal lobe of my brain—changed everything. Complications made recovery longer and harder than expected. Therapy became my work: keeping my brain active, rebuilding strength and confidence, and slowly getting my life back.
Painting became part of that recovery. It gave me a place to work with color, movement, and feeling when words were not always enough. I’m not an artist; I’m a painter. I move color and texture across the canvas, turn it, and follow where the layers lead.
Since 2018, hearts have appeared around me—in clouds, photographs, unexpected places, and even my brain MRI. Hundreds of people have sent me hearts they spotted, saying, “I saw this heart and thought of you.” Hearts began surfacing in my paintings, too. Hidden Heart Studio grew from all of it: the recovery, the color, the hidden hearts, and the joy of finding my way back to life.

Our heart story
Before we met, the hearts were already waiting.
Long before David and I met, hearts were already woven through both of our lives. After the loss of his wife, David continued buying heart artwork until his home was surrounded by it. Meanwhile, hearts had been finding me since 2018—in clouds, photographs, unexpected places, and even my brain MRI.
The first time I walked into David’s home, I had at least eight photographs of hearts saved on my phone. One by one, I realized that every heart I carried with me was already present in his home. We had been living parallel heart stories without knowing it. There was no doubt: he was my guy.
For our fourth anniversary, another heart found us: Peter Max’s Angel with Heart. It was the final piece available in the collection. When we brought it home, the collection became sold out.
Of course, it found us.
